H & H Smokehouse Mobile BBQ

Roadside BBQ shacks are not for the faint of heart.  Some are great, some are terrible, and some are fair to middling.  While driving back and forth to the grocery store on Mahan Drive I noticed a small trailer parked in the Petro gas station.   A sign next attached to tent advertised the spot as H & H Smokehouse Mobile BBQ, and I resolved to pay it a visit.

One Friday afternoon as lunch time approached I decided to drive over to H & H Smokehouse for some BBQ.  It was a bit before noon, and the parking lot of the Petro station was empty.  Smoke curled from the smoker and a pile of hardwood was stacked against the curb. 1. I have eaten at H&H MORE than a dozen times, and love it . They have now moved to the bass pro parking lot, but not only is the service, price, and cleanliness an A+ , BUT the food is phenomenal . I normally get the ribs, potato salad, and baked beans ( which are my favourite to get ) but I’ve also tried the greens and macaroni and cheese .Yummy ! My co workers have eaten there and bragg on the ribs everytime she goes. I dont live in city limits but will make sure I get my delicious ribs at lest once a week.( smile) SO I would say, if you are ever on the east side of town, or bass pro parking lot, to just stop by for a plate. You will be pleasantly surprised at the hearty and tasty ribs they serve.

    • Thanks for the comment BJ! I did try the ribs, and they were actually pretty good. The pulled pork and collards, however, both tasted like lighter fluid. It left a bad taste in my mouth (both literally and figuratively), and I am not sure I will return to H & H anytime soon.
