An email from an old friend and an invite to lunch brought me down Thomasville Road to visit one of Tallahassee’s newest lunch spots, Zoës Kitchen. The restaurant is a chain with locations in fifteen states including four stores in Florida. Zoës Tallahassee location can be found at 1817 Thomasville Road, Suite 240 in the Miracle Plaza near Tallahassee’s shiny new Whole Foods. Parking was a challenge but I was able to stalk a lady leaving with a to go bag and commandeer her spot. Colorful striped awnings and a bright orange sign hung above the front door of Zoës. I planted myself on a bench and waited for Iris to arrive as a steady stream of ladies who lunch passed by.
Iris made her grand entrance a few minutes before noon and together we entered the restaurant’s orange trimmed doors. Zoës has three distinct areas, To the left menu boards above smiling cashiers displayed Zoës offerings. To the right was the dining area and a patio. The restaurant is a Greek inspired fast casual eatery that offers appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. A kid’s menu is also offered for those 12 years old and under.
