The area between S. Madison and Gaines Street has undergone a massive redevelopment. New residential and retail spaces line streets that were formerly occupied by warehouses and light industrial businesses. One of the new restaurants is Madison Social, and I recently paid it a visit for lunch with Joe, his friend Bruce, and Bruce’s sister Camille.
Madison Social is located at 705 S. Woodward Avenue in the sparkling new College Town complex. Brick walls with black awnings above garage styled doors abutted a large patio filled with picnic tables. A menu board advertised the specials of the day.
