Before one of the last Florida State football games I visited Parlay Sports Bar and Grill with Uncle Jerry, Kristen, and Mason. We made the short trip over from Monticello and found the restaurant at the back of the plaza located at 1216 North Monroe Street.
A week before I was disappointed at a nearby sports bar, and I hoped Parlay would deliver a better experience. We were greeted by the hostess who told us to sit where ever we wanted. The restaurant has two distinct areas. To the right and through a doorway traditional seating was located. To the left stadium style seating faced a wall covered in flat screen televisions. Between the two a polished bar lined with beer taps connects the two areas. We selected a table in front of the bank of TVs and craned our necks towards the early college football games. Love that this features my Uncle Jerry and cousin Kristen!
Wings marginal at best, expected better since it is in “mid-town”. Service, atmosphere, food just as good almost everywhere with the same theme. If you don’t live close, save the gas and eat at a sports bar closer to home.
