Crossing over the swirling Ochlockonee River on Hwy 20 I entered Liberty County. Restaurant options between Tallahassee and the hinterlands of the Panhandle are limited, and when I arrived in Bristol I knew it was time to find a place for lunch. Driving down Central Ave I looked for a local place, and was drawn to a parking lot full of pick-up trucks.
The Apalachee Restaurant has been in business in some form or another for over 75 years. Formerly known as Doc’s Place and the Riverside Inn the restaurant occupies a building that formerly served as pool hall, super market, and laundromat. I found a parking space near the road and ventured inside. For more on the Apalachee Restaurant read the full review on Tallahassee.com.
