Driving to drop Becky’s car off for an oil change I noticed a restaurant, the Fisherman’s Wife, tucked into a small strip mall on Mahan Drive. When the service was finished I decided to pay the restaurant a visit. I drove past it on my first attempt, but following a quick u-turn near the Wal-Mart pulled into the parking lot for the Fisherman’s Wife.
The restaurant is located at 3348 Mahan Drive between a veterinary clinic and a vacant store front. A simple white and blue sign stood above the door and a small neon signed declare the Fisherman’s Wife was open for business. As soon as I walked through the door I was warmly greeted and told to sit wherever I liked. I selected a small table against the wall with a view of the daily special board. A smiling waitress named Denise took my drink order and promptly returned with my beverage and a menu. Service throughout my meal was attentive and friendly.
