One of the highlights of social studies classes back in the day was Oregon Trail. It was a video game we played in small groups where you had to outfit a wagon train and make the journey from Missouri to the Wiliamette Valley. A failure to pack enough wagon wheels or provisions resulted in an untimely death from dysentery and an 8-bit grave marker on the side of the trail.
The capital city is now home to its very own trail, the Tallahassee Burger Trail. Instead of being full of misfortune, this trail is packed with delicious beef. Six restaurants must be visited to reach the ultimate goal, a burger trail t-shirt. My friend Abe, a seasoned burger trail veteran who writes a food blog called Two In Tally, and I saddled up set our sights on the Canopy Road Café.
