Lunch time approached and I began to fixate on eating tacos. Tacos, tacos, tacos. I needed tacos. I texted Kirsten, a fellow taco enthusiast, and she agreed to meet me for lunch. The next question was where to get tacos. After a quick bit of food research, also known as using the Google, we set off for Taco Libre, located in the Winn Dixie Shopping Center at 1525 West Tharpe Street.
As expected, Taco Libre’s menu is heavily focused on tacos. Ten varieties of specialty tacos, ranging from carnitas to mahi-mahi, are served in pairs with a side of salsa and chips for between $7.99 to $8.99. Non-taco offerings are also available and include carne asada tots, pulled pork nachos, burritos. I ordered the tacos al pastor while Kirsten opted for the Carolina tacos.
