Bubba’s Pizza

Friday nights call for pizza, and with the kids in tow, we headed for Bubba’s Pizza.  The restaurant is located at 2475 Apalachee Parkway on the bottom of the two-story plaza.  A semi-opaque soda ad covers the front window of the restaurant, making it look dark and uninviting from the outside, but inside, we were pleased to discover, was bright and welcoming.  We took a seat at a small table and immediately opened the menu.

Bubba’s has a large menu full of choices.  The starters include bruschetta, fried ravioli, and garlic knots.  Jumbo wings have their own section, and different styles of French fries and various salads are offered.  Main dishes include philly cheese steaks, subs, strombolis, calzones, and hand tossed New York style thin crust pizza.  Presented with all of these options, selecting what we wanted for dinner was a challenge.

As we deliberated, the kids, fueled by hunger, were ready to rebel. We ordered the munchkins a half-loaf of cheezy bread (that’s how Bubba’s spells it), bacon ranch cheese fries for the table, and a large pizza to share. In minutes, a piping hot oval of cheesy goodness arrived at the table.  The kids grabbed two slices each and dug in.  Smiles, and a request from Julia to take a picture of the cheesy bread to put on her (as of today, still non-existent) food blog, served as their seal of approval.
