Following a heartfelt funeral for my neighbor, Fred Wilder, I headed over to the courthouse to see if anyone was up for a quick lunch. Tyler and his friend Ron agreed to accompany me to Monticello’s sole Mexican restaurant, Rancho Grande.
Rancho Grande is located in a small building at 320 North Cherry Street one block east of U.S. 19 North. We arrived a few minutes after the lunch rush began and were seated at a table towards the back of the restaurant. Before I could take my bow tie off a basket of warm chips and two small dishes of salsa were set on the table. For more on Rancho Grande read the full review on Tallahassee.com.

I take it you liked it better than La Fiesta? 🙂
I sure did! Although I need to give La Fiesta another try. It’s been about 8 years since I have my “experience” at the restaurant. La Fiesta/Barnaby’s double feature? You in?
For La Fiesta, yep. Barnaby’s? Never.
C’mon! Where is your sense of adventure? It could be fun. We could invite Tyler as an independent third party.
